High School Math Teacher (Pre-Calc, Calculus) - Full Time
Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School is hiring a High School Math teacher to start in Academic Year 2019-2020. The position entails teaching Precalculus and AP Calculus but may involve other science fields. Applicants should be able to instruct in most HS math subject areas. Previous teaching experience in HS math subject areas is desired as is a teaching certificate. The course description for Precalculus is: Precalculus continues the synthesis begun in Algebra II between the algebra of functions and equations and their associated visual properties as graphs in the Cartesian plane. It expands upon that synthesis with the introduction and study of trigonometry. Also included in Precalculus are: sequences, probability, and counting theory; vectors; and conics. The course description for Calculus is: Calculus provides an introduction to college-level single-variable calculus, including the use and interpretation of technology via the TI-84 graphing calculator. Topics in differential calculus include limits, methods of differentiation, related rates and optimization applications, and an introduction to anti-derivatives and recti-linear motion. Topics in integral calculus include Riemann sums, net area between two functions, definite integrals and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, techniques of integration, volumes of revolution, average of a function, physics and engineering applications, and an introduction to slope fields and separable differential equations.
